Farm Animal Resources and Management is a dairy veterinary consulting practice. It is owned and operated by Dr. Karen Jacobsen, a bilingual veterinarian and former University of Georgia professor. 

Dr. Jacobsen spent 22 years in academia.  While a college professor, received numerous awards for both research and teaching.  She was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year 4 times by the veterinary student classes at the University of Georgia, and also received the coveted Norden Distinguished Teacher Award. She left academia in 2000 to spend more time with her teenagers before they were all grown.  

Today, Dr. Jacobsen's dairy clients are her students.  Her dairies range in size from 70 cows to 4300 cows.
